Finding Unity in a Shared Mission
Central Christian Church was facing a near crises. The building was out of date, but renovation plans were becoming a point of contention that almost split the church in half.
01
The Opportunity
Central’s wonderfully passionate leaders wanted to make the church warmer and more welcoming for everyone in the community. Never shying away from an opportunity to bring people together through mission-focused design, Visioneering took on the challenge of creating a vision that everyone could clearly see.
02
The Vision
Through our unique Basecamp process, Central was able to unify around a vision for their church and space. Moving beyond arguments around pews and carpet and into discussions about how their new space could help amplify the messages, ministries and programs they were passionate about.
03
The Execution
With the vision in place, the Visioneering team went to work creating indoor and outdoor spaces where the church community could grow and share their faith together. The modern yet comforting design centered around a courtyard where Central could welcome more of the homeless community to eat, rest and pray.
From the Client
“All of the changes in this building have worked out beautifully. God used Visioneering to show me that the church is more than just the walls around you.” – Pam Walker, Member Central Christian Church
