Creating Spaces for Learning and Life Change
With outdated facilities and significant space constraints hindering the educational environment, Armstrong Elementary turned to Visioneering to provide inspiring and functional learning spaces.
01
The Opportunity
Armstrong Elementary administrators recognized a rare opportunity to shape their students’ learning journey for generations to come. The school had not been remodeled in 60 years, and any new designs would have to stand the test of time.
02
The Vision
Leading up to the school’s remodel, the idea to create destination learning spaces took root. Through our creative and interactive Basecamp process, Visioneering helped give shape and form to the vision through spaces that would unlock the imagination and make learning a more immersive, engaging experience.
03
The Execution
With the vision set, the Visioneering team went to work, identifying unused storage space that would become immersive learning spaces. From this, we created three elemental-themed work zones, each catering to specific aspects of the learning environment, including study areas, reading spaces, and places for students to gather, laugh and learn.
From the Client
“I found that Visioneering was an organization that thought about place in very intentional ways, and at a level of inspiration that is just beyond.” – Dr. Skip Morgan, Principal
