Connecting History

Visioneering set out to transform the original Beacon Lodge Motel and RV Campground. built in 1969 in Snyder, TX, into a vibrant and visitor-friendly retirement community and roadside café.

Behind the Design

Filled with Route 66 nostalgia and West Texas charm, Beacon Lodge offered the ideal canvas for Visioneering designers to create an unforgettable asset to the Snyder community.

Through our innovative Basecamp Experience, Visioneering worked with Beacon Lodge owners to hone in on a design aesthetic that the team dubbed “a modern take on Mid-Century Modern nostalgia.”

Quant yet refined rooms lead to cozy open patios framed in “breeze block”, hearkening back to a time when people connected over iced tea on warm afternoons. Open spaces guide residents to amenities including pickleball and bocce ball courts, a community garden and greenhouse, BBQ areas, dog park, fire tables and plenty of pergolas. Five pull-through RV sites adjacent to the lodging allow for family and friends to extend their visit with loved ones.
